The Next Face of the Divine

To know God is to strip away all interpretive contexts; to stand on absolute ground with respect to oneself and the universe. It is to look upon all of existence as it is, to stand naked before ultimate truth without pride or shame, without fear or deserving, and to be seen as you are not as you believe yourself to be. To know God is to be engaged in the creative process urgently, effortlessly, and without reservation.

Egolessness is the absolute ground within all of us from which the divine arises. This can only be found when commitment to know god is greater than all other desires. This compels us forward to effortless devotion, in other words commitment and integrity, which extends the absolute space -- the presence of the divine -- into the relative world of form without interference. Effortlessness means the personal nature of striving is left behind. Commitment means turning the relative context into an absolute in which integrity can begin to operate, demanding that we stretch beyond the edge of what each of us is capable.

Only when commitment and integrity have full sway over our being do we begin to exercise pure motive. Pure motive brings egolessness and devotion into the collective context, establishing an absolute ground between you and me for the knowledge of divine consciousness to arise. Our intelligence begins to synthesize with divine knowing and we are more than the sum of our parts. Then, connected by the absolute divine that runs through us and between us, we can engage actively in the world to create a new consciousness and a new world, revealing the next face of the divine.
